Volunteering opportunities

Are you an engineer or technologist working in any area of decarbonisation, the energy sector, carbon capture, sustainable development or sustainable manufacturing?

Help the Climate Schools Programme inspire the next generation! There are a number of ways you can help:

  • You can provide a photo and information about yourself for a case study

  • You can record a video for us

  • You can volunteer to go into a school and talk to young people directly

If you’re early in your career or even still studying, we really want you! From our research we have found that school students find it easiest to identify with early career professionals, apprentices and university students who are just starting their career so while you may not think you qualify as a “role model” for young people, you really do!

We want to showcase:

  • All pathways into a career in engineering and technology

  • The range of jobs available in engineering and technology related to decarbonisation and sustainable development/manufacturing

That the sector is welcoming of everyone, no matter their background, and we are keen to showcase women, people from UK minority ethnic groups and people with a disability
